Performance Opportunities

Our Teen Dancers (Ages 12+yrs) have the exciting opportunity to shine on stage twice during the dance season! These performances are designed to build confidence, celebrate each dancer's growth, and create lasting memories for the whole family.

Winter Showcase

Our Winter Showcase (December) is a festive performance where dancers share what they've been learning in class during the first half of the season. This fun, low-pressure event helps young dancers become comfortable performing in front of an audience while celebrating the joy of dance.

Spring Showcase

The Spring Showcase (May) is our end-of-season celebration! Dancers will perform a choreographed routine for family and friends, showcasing the technique, confidence, and skills they've developed throughout the year. It's a wonderful way to celebrate their accomplishments and love of dance.

Every Performance Helps Dancers Grow

Our showcases are about much more than learning choreography. They help dancers develop:

  • Confidence on stage

  • Performance skills and stage presence

  • Teamwork and cooperation

  • Listening and following directions

  • Responsibility and commitment

  • Pride in their accomplishments

  • Lasting memories with family and friends

Helpful FAQs for Parents

Is previous training required?

Not at all. We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to experienced dancers in our teen programs.

Is my teen able to enroll in multiple classes?

Yes. Students often pair styles like ballet and jazz or hip hop and musical theatre for a well-rounded experience.

Do they have to take ballet?

While not mandatory for all, we highly recommend it as the best way to build the core strength and technique used in every other style.

What is the required dancewear?

Attire requirements depend on the specific style. Review the guidance next to class style.

Can they join the competitive team later?

Certainly. Our recreational tracks provide a great technical foundation for students aiming for IMDC, IMD Elite, or the Pro Track. For those targeting spring auditions for our competitive teams, we recommend a diverse schedule of ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop to ensure full artistic versatility.
